Purpose of the site:

This activity is part of the larger maths online site. It is designed to help students find patterns in a variety of different number tables.

New Zealand context:

This activity is ideal for independent student use. Students examine the patterns on a number grid to work out which number is hidden beneath the blob.

New and different:

Teachers can set the level of difficulty as appropriate, choosing level one where there is a difference of one between consecutive numbers in the table and level 8 where there can be larger differences between the numbers and negative numbers are included.
