Secret Numbers
Purpose:
This purpose of this activity is to work out a partner's secret number using knowledge of number sequence.
Achievement Objectives:
Achievement Objective: Know forward and backward counting sequences with whole numbers to at least 1000.
Specific Learning Outcomes:
Use their knowledge of number sequence to order numbers.
Activity:
- The students play this game in pairs. One partner chooses a number between 0 and 1000 and writes it on a piece of paper without shwoing the other person.
- The person guessing asks questions about the size of the secret number. For example "is it smaller than 500?".
- The person with the secret number answers "yes" or "no".
- The students can count the number of question it takes to guess the secret number.
