Simple Powers
Purpose:
The purpose of this activity is to help your child to learn some simple number powers.

What you need:
Game cards (PDF,48KB) . You can print these or make your own.
Cardboard. (Old cereal boxes are good).
What to do:
Glue the cards on to cardboard. Cut the cards and shuffle them. The aim of this activity is to arrange the cards in a continuous line with the power and answer matching up.
What to expect your child to do:
To be able to correctly match up powers with the answer. To begin with they may need to use a calculator to check their answers.
Variation:
Deal 4 cards to each player and like dominoes take turns to add a card to form a line.
