The purpose of this activity is to give students practise in converting decimals into fractions. This can be a quick class starter or be used as part of an independent activity.

This activity provides students with a fun, game context in which to practice their equivalent fraction skills.

This unit explores the connections between percentages, decimals, and fractions. It focuses on strategies for solving problems involving percentages and applies these strategies to real life contexts.

In this unit we are exploring ways to find equivalent fractions. We use the concept of equivalent fractions to convert fractions to the benchmark fractions of halves, quarters, thirds, fifths and tenths. From these benchmark fractions it is easier to convert fractions to decimals and percentages. We use equivalent fractions to compare fractions. Converting benchmark fractions or to fractions of the same denominator makes it easier to compare and order fractions.
